| Flower Bears Sister Hangings... These very special hangings also use our Flower Bears. Liz Hampton, from Applegate, Oregon, created these personalized hangings, incorporating backstitch and other motifs along with the flower bears. These designs are from our 1998 Flower Bears Sample Design series. They are now available as a chart and machine embroidery collection. |  | ||||

"Both our parents were born in January, so I started and ended with Carnations, followed by Lily of the Valley (Marian was born in May), Asters (Cathi was born in September), Marigolds (I came in October) and Roses (Peggy was a June baby). Following that, I put the phrase: "Sisters are different flowers from the same garden", and then did the blackwork rows in reverse order. Each sister's row of blackwork flowers is done in the matching Flower Bear color on her own sampler. I made them way back when the Flower Bears were free on your internet site. I'm fortunate to have three sisters, all of whom I love and even like. :-) My husband was pleasantly surprised at his first Christmas with my family that we all genuinely like to spend time with each other. :-)" Liz adds..."I made mine FIRST because I knew that if I didn't, I would make the other three and then not get around to doing mine. :-))" | |||||
