I have downloaded my designs...Now what?

You have purchased a complete set of the files required for  stitching out the designs. The instructions below describe what you need to do after you have downloaded the collection files. You will have to transfer the design files (Hus, Pcs, Pes, Sew, Jef, XXX, etc.) to your sewing machine. The procedure for doing this will depend upon which software your machine requires and the mode of file storage (floppy disk, memory card, etc.) you normally use to transfer the design files to your machine.

If you purchased your designs online and downloaded them, the following instructions will lead you through the process of working with them on your computer.

WHERE YOUR DOWNLOADED FILES ARE STORED

After your credit card has been approved, you will be instructed to initiate the download of your files. Please be sure to remember where you tell the computer where your files will be downloaded. They will have the collection name on a file ending with '.exe'.  (i.e. 712-Bundle of Bears.exe) If you do not specify a specific folder, your system will default to the last folder to which you previously downloaded a file.

After your files have been downloaded, you must 'run' this .exe file. You do this by navigating to the folder where the .exe file has been downloaded and double-clicking on the .exe file to run it.

AS STATED IN THE "Readme1st" TEXT FILE THAT WILL BE OPENED AFTER YOUR FILES ARE INSTALLED ON YOUR HARD DRIVE, YOUR FILES WILL BE SELF-EXTRACTED AND INSTALLED IN A FOLDER ON YOUR C: DRIVE. FOR EXAMPLE:

 C:\Vermillion\712-Bundle of Bears Collection

If you purchased more than one collection, there will be more than one folder

C:\Vermillion\712-Bundle of Bears Collection
C:\Vermillion\707-Victorian Samplings

Both the critical Adobe Acrobat PDF files, and the corresponding machine files will have been installed in the above folder(s).

ADOBE ACROBAT PDF COLOR STOP STITCH ORDER FILES

VERY, VERY IMPORTANT: Each design file has an Adobe PDF file to refer to for the THREAD COLOR STITCHOUT ORDER. You will need this PDF file for each design you stitch out. In order to view and print out the PDF file, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you do not have it, you can go to the following link to download it, Free! Download Adobe Acrobat

You can print out the PDF file on any laser or inkjet color printer for a helpful color version of the Thread List.

HINT: Due to the many different machine default color palettes, the colors of the design may not appear realistically on your touch screen. You must refer to the PDF file printout during the stitch out, where the Color Stop number is crucial. Ignore any color names your touch screen will display--rely only on the Color Stop number on the PDF file, for an accurate stitch out!
